The Gromar 16 T Hydraulic Rotator was developed for demanding applications, delivering robustness, reliability and high-level performance. The rotator supports a static axial load of up to 16 tonnes and a dynamic axial load of up to 8 tonnes. The static load is what the equipment holds while stationary; the dynamic one considers the effort in motion, with the impacts typical of operation. When sizing, what should be compared to the weight of the grapple and the handled load is the dynamic value.
Rotation torque is 2,800 Nm at 250 bar, with maximum working pressure up to 300 bar and a recommended oil flow of 35 l/min. Connections are G 3/4" on the rotator and G 1/4" for the attached grapple or tool. Operating above the recommended flow increases oil heating without a proportional performance gain.
Rotation is continuous and unlimited — endless 360°, in both directions, with no stop forcing the operator to unwind the rotation. This allows positioning logs, scrap or suspended loads directly, without losing cycle time on repositioning.
